American Picker Show

Honestly, people who are upset with the American Pickers just should not watch the show.

Obviously most of you do not understand how they operate. The Pickers "offer" to buy an item and the seller "decides" to sell the item to the Pickers. Surprisingly, No One is forced to sell anything they do not want too. At any point during the transaction the seller can decide no they do not want to sell for that price. Amazing, huh?

Just in case you did not watch the show closely or you did not understand what you were watching, the Pickers DO NOT go into someone's house and buy items the homeowners are using to function with on a daily basis. They are offering to buy items found in barns or sitting at in the weather on the homeowner's land. Most of the time the homeowners do not even realize what they have or that it is of any use.

I believe most of the people they buy the items from are VERY thankful for the money since most are of retirement age. Also, unless the Pickers are 'freestyling" the homeowners have contacted the Pickers and TOLD THEM they want to sell their stuff.

For all of you who are complaining, DO NOT watch show and DO NOT sell your items if they OFFER to buy something from you. Then we will all be happy!!!
