basically there is or was an ancient race who were super tall, advanced in religious thought, advanced in technology, looking slightly different from other humans, fully physical beings, and they lived in seclusion somehow surviving the calamities they destroyed their race. On the last part, you are confusing the seraphim (fiery snakes) with the Nephilim.

My interpretation of Isaiah is that he was given a vision. Perhaps by the Nephilim, I believe that can download thoughts and images, sometimes full blown visionary experiences into the human mind. They have what I call spirit technology. I don't think this was a real physical experience.
