Hey Christians, what exactly is "the Gospel"? What does this mean? What does the "message of the Gospel" mean??

1Cr 15:3 KJV - For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Cr 15:4 KJV - And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Gospel means good news.

Like, say the idea that god was all forgiving instead of the tyranical sociopath written about in the old testament.

Which is something most 'christians' have forgot.

I think they would rather dwell in the madness.

Yes it means The Good News, that is the good news that to be right with God a person doesn't have to follow the law any more. Christ fulfilled the law for us so we would not be condemned by it. All it takes is faith in Christ.

The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time,

the good news of the kingdom of God

is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it. Luke 16:16

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. Matthew 11:13

In the Bible the Gospels,Matthew,Mark,Luke and john these are the gospels. Jesus walked with His disciples up until the day He were lifted up in the clouds in Acts chapter 2. The only way you will ever learn about the Savior and his life here on earth, is to read and study the Bible for yourself. The gospel is Jesus commissioning us as believrs to go into all the world and share of His love and forgiveness for all humankind. Jesus says in John 3:16-17, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; that who ever believes in Him (Jesus) will have eterna life with Him and that is in heaven. This is the good news which is called the Gospel." The Great Commission is this in Mark 16: 16-20, and it reads,He said to them,"15) Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16)Whoever believes and is baptized shall be saved, but whoever does not believe will be comdemed.17) And these signs shall accompany those who believe;In my name they will drive out demons, they will speak in new tongues; 18)they will pick up snakes with their hands;and when they drink deadly poisin,it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands opn the sick peopple, and they will get well.19) After the Lord Jesus has spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and He sat at the right hand of God. 20) Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His word by the signs that accompanied it. .....This is the the gospel. In Acts chapter 1 Jess commanded them to wait for the promise,which they had heard Him speak about. For John baptised with water, but in a few days they will be baptised with the Holy spirit. ...Have you ever watches Pastor/ Evangelist Benny hinn Ministries? well this is what Jesus were talking about in Mark 16 as I just tryped on the Great Commission. This ministry has God's gifts operating , miracles and the power of God moving. Benny Hinn is a well known renound Preacher and Evangelist in the world today and there are others. But look here in Acts (1vss6,7,8,9,) So when they met together, they asked jesus," Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Isreal?" He said to them: " It is not for you to know the times or dates that the father has set by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; (and you will be my witnesses) in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,and to the ends of the earth. ...Now Jerusalem is your family, then Judea is your work place, and Samaria is the whole world/ Nations. Jesus commissioned us for a long haul, and wherever we have opportunities to be a witness s like riht this moment, we are to give andanswer to whomever. Gospel means good news, the good news that you can be saved from the power of sin, that Jesus Christ died for the penalty of your sin, and the earnest of the Holy Spirit can save you from the power of sin through sanctification.

The word "gospel" came about from people who didn't enunciate. They slurred the two words "god spell" together.
The "bible" is full of "god spells". The "god spell" reflects the "sign of the time". The old "god spell" reflected the "sign of the ram", aries. The new "god spell" reflected the "sign of the fish", pisces. The aquarian "god spell" will reflect the "sign of the baptizer".

So the "Gospel" is basically just the "good news" that the death of Jesus Christ saved me from the punishment I deserved for my sins before God. If I follow Jesus and actually repent, turn from my sins, God will forgive me and will lead me towards a better life, right?
