I think I've stumbled across something.

I was watching some pop videos on the TV tonight with the family, and this song came on..

it's a beautiful song, and one of my favourite of all times, but what I saw stopped me in my tracks.

Now, first take a look at this..

that's the track Elenin will take on it's journey across our skies. Ok, no probs there? Notice it passes Betelgeuse, on the left shoulder of Orion, and then around a month later it will make a sharp turn in the skies, and by now a lot brighter I assume,APPEAR to come towards us?

welllllll, look at THIS!

the first pic is a still of the start of the video, with the 'star' coming in from top left, passing Betelgeuse, then making a sharp right turn, and seemingly heading toward us, brightening as it does so.

put the vid on full screen, pause it, and use the scroll bar to see the motion of the 'star'.

the next pic shows the track of the 'star', and circles Betelgeuse, and Orions belt, and draws a line between the centre star of Orions belt, through Betelgeuse, to the track of the star..

the last pic is a paint job of that star chart above, drawing a line from the centre star of Orions belt, through Betelgeuse, to the track of Elenin..

the angle of the line drawn between the centre star of Orions belt and the track of the object, through Betelgeuse, appears to intersect the track of the objects in both pics at very similar angles too.
