Horrific attack on horse shocks (graphic content)

New Zealand's equestrian fraternity have been left horrified after a horse was attacked in an apparent act of sabotage at a competition over the weekend.

Hawera police have launched an investigation after the 13-year-old gelding, called Squirt, was left with burns to its face at the Showjumping Series Final Show at the Egmont A&P Showgrounds in Hawera.
