Ben Davidson reported in his daily report (from 6:00 A.M.
this morning 4-28-2022) that we have had SIX (6) CME's.

Did you guys count 6 CME's or is Ben Davidson confused?

CO-ROTATING INTERACTION REGION: Geomagnetic storms (G1-class) are possible on April 29th when a co-rotating interaction region (CIR) is expected to hit Earth's magnetic field. CIRs are transition zones between fast- and slow-moving solar wind streams. They contain shock waves and compressed magnetic fields that do a good job sparking auroras.

Three Days of Coronal Mass Ejections

How many coronal mass ejections have been observed over the past 3 days? Well... the answer is in the video below.
It appears that most of these plasma eruptions are farsided or off the limbs and not directed towards Earth. Sooner or later, we will be in the path. For now we wait. Composite video by LASCO C2/C3.

M-CLASS SOLAR FLARE: A spotless region of the sun exploded on April 29th (0730 UT), producing a beautiful M1-class solar flare. Debris from the explosion does not appear to be heading for Earth. Confirmation of a miss awaits fresh data from SOHO coronagraphs.

I just noticed that the NOAA D Region Absorption Map has a significant amount of red on it, which I don't recall seeing before, and the US is covered with a huge bright green dot where it's normally blue and purple. Does this regularly happen during solar flares, and I just haven't noticed?
