The big list of nuclear reactors
Here is a big list of nuclear reactors. If you look down to Japan, you can see the six Fukushima reactors. In the "Model" column, they are listed as BWR-3, BWR-4, and BWR-5.

If you look in the USA section of the table, you can see that BWR-4 reactors can be found in places like BROWN'S FERRY, COOPER, and DUANE ARNOLD.

There are also BWR-3 reactors in places like PILGRIM, QUAD CITY, MONTICELLO USA, and SANTA MARIA DE GARONA SPAIN.

India has some old BWR-1 reactors at TARAPUR.

There are quite a few of these old GE reactors around the world.

Thanks. Germany has shut down its old BWR reactors. Clearly they think the reactors aren't safe enough.

"The seven oldest nuclear power plants in Germany have been taken offline in light of safety concerns following the continuing nuclear crisis in Japan. The rest of Germany's nuclear sites are now up for safety checks." [link to www.dw-world.de]

Re: The big list of nuclear reactors
Maybe BWR reactors should have the spent fuel removed from the reactor building? AT THE VERY LEAST!!!!!
