TOKYO — Engineers have stopped highly radioactive water leaking into the sea from a crippled Japanese nuclear power plant, the facility's operator said on Wednesday, a breakthrough in the battle to contain the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl.

However, Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) still needs to pump contaminated water into the sea because of a lack of storage space at the facility.

I hope it is true!!!

No good news until they cool the reactors and seal them off.

Until then, DOOM is still on schedule as planned.

so they stopped the radioactive water leaking into the sea... so what, i never even heard about that problem, the reactors are still fucked they're still dumping 25000 tonnes of radioactive water into the sea to make way for more in the containers, i don't see how this is good news, they haven't stopped the radiation leaking, just radioactive water that was leaking into the sea.. big whoop when they're purposely dumping thousands of tonnes of it in there anyway
