Winner!
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

The woman who is not pursued sets up the doctrine that pursuit is offensive to her sex, and wants to make it a felony. No genuinely attractive woman has any such desire. - H.L. Mencken, In Defense Of Women

Re: Songs You Grew Up With
bunch of young kids on here, I see. I'm thinking more like the Beach Boys, BeeGees, BTO, REO Speedwagon, late 70s disco even (some of it was OK), then the early 80s stuff, Genesis, The Police, Hall and Oates, Van Halen, Def Leppard, etc.
 Quoting: BrianMoran

I wish I had grown up in the late 60's, early 70's, all the best music came out around then.

I grew up with grunge and alternative rock, then I got into better music

I do remember hearing this when I was fairly young

Revelation 1:7 "Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen."

Zechariah 12:10 "And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."

Re: Songs You Grew Up With

College days- played it to death- 1978, still love it.

Just noticed a young Lionel Richie in the back - with glasses- adoptive parent to Nicole Richie- odd story.....

Nicole Richie was born Nicole Camille Escovedo in Berkeley, California,[3]

Nicole’s birth parents found it difficult to provide for her financially and, at the age of three, they agreed to let her move in with Lionel Richie and his then-wife Brenda Harvey.

"My parents were friends with Lionel," she says. "They trusted that they would be better able to provide for me."[4] Initially, Lionel Richie became her guardian.[5] Lionel Richie and his wife, Brenda Harvey, effectively raised Nicole as their daughter. Nicole began attending weekly sessions with a psychotherapist at age three, remaining in therapy throughout childhood. Nicole was legally adopted by the Richies at age nine. Shortly after the adoption was formalized, Lionel's affair with another woman became public knowledge.[6] The Richies went through a bitter, public split, and as a result, indulged Nicole's every whim. "Their way of making me happy was to say yes to everything I wanted, but I don't think a little girl should have that much freedom," said Richie in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.[7] Lionel Richie remarried following his divorce and gave Nicole two younger half-siblings"

Honestly such a strange story- who would give up their three year old to a pop star????

If we weren't "old" enough, others had control of the radio knob. I remember my cousins were driving in the latter 60's and they had the beach boys playing, happy songs.
I haven't seen those cousins since the late 70's...kinda sad

Music at that time seemed so full of hope- that indeed we could change the world.
