japan had a 7.1 quake this morning. it'll still have a effect on the world seismos.

I live in Michigan..don't feel a thing so all is well.

That is because of the LARGE quake today in Japan, plus the two in and near Central America. These are the various drums picking up the p waves. Usually on any quake about 7 all of them pick it up within 10 to 20 minutes, sometimes 1/2 hour after the quake. This is not quakes all over the world and I wish you ones who keep posting this stuff would spend some time actually studying the process. ALL QUAKES put out some p waves. 5's and 6s are not picked up globally. they are picked up regionally. Bigger the quake, the further the waves travel. Also affected by the depth of the quakes.

Um I didn't say there weren't quakes..I simply stated that I'm in Michigan and I don't feel it so "all is well"..meaning I'm safe at the moment.

The 9 DID. I remember that as I watched it. . And one couldn't tell all the other quakes for it.

the height is the peak of the reading. the longer you see a line blackened heavily that means it read more of the initial quake. the black lines DO NOT mean there are quakes happening, it just means the seismo picked up a big quake.

Here in Honolulu, I've been Feeling Continuous Tremors lasting hours over the last few months, But they don't show up as earthquakes.

I've been feeling them while in my van, parked with the Engine off.

IN FACT, I'M FEELING THE TREMORS AT THIS VERY MOMENT, & FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF HOURS.
