Make sure you get the official long version of your birth certificate , not just a "certificate of live birth" any Joe off the street can get one of those.. Just ask Obama

Re: i am planning on being a personal trainer which certification to get?
An ACE certification should be enough for any gym to hire you. You can buy the books as a home study course, and then just take the test when you are ready.

Call some local gyms and ask what types of certifications they require. ACE is one of the main ones. There's other ones, and the tests for some are supposedly harder, but the names escapes me right now.

You're welcome!
I used to work at a gym, and ACE was pretty much what all the trainers had.
I guess I'm one of the not-fat GLPers!

Lol, J/K. I need to lose 20 lbs of baby weight, but I've had two surgeries since my baby was born, and haven't gotten the OK to work out yet.
:(

As soon as I get cleared though, it's on!

Oh, and you DON'T need to go to school to become a personal trainer. All those places are a rip off. They just prep you to take a test, like ACE, or another type of certification. If you're self-motivated, you can just buy the books and study on your own. It's a lot of anatomy and basic nutrition stuff.

hey man. ACE certification is one of the 'highest pt certifications' out there, but also the hardest and most expensive. i know ballys has their trainers certified by nasm (national academy for sports medicine). you also need a current cpr/ard license too.

good luck bro!
