Re: ***SEVERE WX OUTBREAK - UPDATE - NEW WATCHES FOR KY, TN, OH, IN, MS
I think the reason there isn't a lot of posting going on to this thread by others is because they are reading this and heading for cover.

So many people are being effected by this ugly storm front
I would imagine there is a lot of dread and fear.

Keep posting.

This thread should be pinned.

A definite no on that one.

'Smelled' them nearly 24 hours before they came. I was confused. I usually only get a four hour window.

I hope so but the 'snake' curves right in the south central part of the State. The weather channel broadcasting from Bloomington, IN. It hasn't gotten there yet.

It would be hard to do with mobile homes and apartments. There are more basements in Southern Indiana than Central Indiana though.

That snake is called a bow echo :) Straight-line winds are expected in those. If it continues on and grows even, we got a derecho on our hands...

Yeah, it these storms usually travel in a line northeast stretching southwest. Never seen a serpent shape before.

It's as if something was holding the storm from moving in places.
