So why do music artists and movie stars get paid so much and are famous?

So it seems all that media is about is movies and music . They are some of the wealthiest people on this planet and when you watch tv, you watch movies, or music videos... and yet i cannot understand why. These people have done nothing for the world and continue to get millions for doing something so easy. I bet anyone of you here can be a singer or movie star if you tried. But only the select make it through. And haven't you noticed that it is not for the ENTERTAINMENT anymore, since these singers know that they can sell millions by making a shitty song with a catchy chorus. So people are humming it away. Think Kesha, lady gaga etc... There is plenty of talent but only few get through.

same with movies, lately all the disaster movies seem like they were RUSHED in a hurry for some reason to come out probably to get a lot of $$$ from the doom crowd and they lacked any quality that was seen in the 80s and 90s
with movies that had atmosphere, plot and vibes.



in a normal functioning world, the scientist, doctors, archaeologists, builders and fixers should be famous since they are keeping us alive and advancing. Moviestars should be volunteers and same with singers and probably goes for sports too.. unless you are really amazing and set records then in that case sports stars should be famous too..

basically if what you do is easy and for ' fun ' i dont see a reason why it should rack you millions compared to someone who literally finds breakthroughs in history.
