political correctness is a doctrine.... fostered by a delusional, illogical minority...... and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media; which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Sorry you got hit there. Can't say I'd argue with curfews if that happens in my area though - it'd be scarier if there WASN'T a curfew, I'd think, with people looting throughout the night, firefights and confrontations, etc. I'm sure most people would remain civilized, but...there'd surely be some who wouldn't too.

Phen, Thanks for sharing.

I'm so sorry you and your family; and others too are having to experience this.

That sinkhole looked huge.

Thank goodness no one has been injured.

We have had rain the past 5 days but no flooding.

Be Safe Everyone and keep us updated.

A EF1? Really? What are you guys using as construction materials? Tissue paper?

Sorry but 95mph winds ain't shit. In Colorado we'd get 100mph winds on the front range under a starry sky.

I know this makes me sound jerky... but I am just confused as to how a 95 mph nader could cause a "disaster"?

Maybe because its not just wind ... it's a tornado? That is different than just blowing wind. It can pick up houses, trucks, etc and trow them through the air!

Didn't you ever watch "The Wizard of Oz"? The movie may be fake, but tornadoes do a ton of damage. They can totally destroy one side of the street and leave the other side untouched. Weird but true. I saw that movie as a kid and HATED it ... the tornado scared me, especially with the witch laughing as she rode it.

And the one that went through Tuscaloosa even destroyed a train trestle.
