Re: Trump. You gotta hand it to the guy. He is a businessman, and like any good businessman, he gave no indication of his reaction about Obama's antics. In essence, having a "poker face". You know good and well Trump isn't worried. As for Obama, The way he acted was in poor taste. Plain and simple. Whether I like him or not, that has no bearing on my opinion in this situation. Strange times we live in...

The White House Correspondents Dinner goes back a long time. Some Presidents have been able to pull off the humor better than others.

The BEST President at pulling off the humor of the event was Ronald Reagan ... he was in his element as a well prepared actor who had both a great sense of his audience and great timing on his delivery.

Bill Clinton did a good job a couple of times, but was not nearly as consistent as Reagan was. Both Clinton and Reagan of course LOVED the show business theatrics of the event, which is why they did well at it.

Bush 1, Bush 2, and Obama were/are not nearly as good ... and none of them had/have the "show business" feel for an audience. Obama in particular is way to serious to pull off humor well, and it shows not only in his delivery but in the choice of jokes he chose to present.

Worth watching ... but mostly in order to compare in my mind with my memories of Reagon first and Clinton second, both Presidents that could find the pulse of the citizenry and play to it. Obama clearly lacks that, and this event showed that.

But finally, after 3 years of infantile behavior and potty language by haters led by a rich blond Moldavian Jew, he lowered himself temporarily to the level of "The Birthers" ... who seem to have cumulutive IQs in the 2 digit range. To many of us, he wasn't The Buffoon. That's what this event or any Roast is about. Trump was trumped. His side shots were telling.

Obama scored big...no more birther stories. Like Sarah Palin's website crosshairs on real opponent's names, a political limit of behavior has been reached...and reprimanded.

It is the Undecideds/Independents who make or break an election. They come from all types .. Republican, Democrat, left, right, all races and religions. And most of all, they watch and listen, engage brain, then vote.

Best presidential comedian since Reagan. Good sense of timing and he didn't fuck up all the punch lines like W.

This would make sense in an time that is now gone. Now it is seen all over the world and, as you surely know, irony and humor depends on the particular culture you are immersed in. As such, it can be VERY dangerous when presented to other cultures.

They should either stop doing that joke of a session or make it available only to those physically present there, who are within context.

Transmitting it to the whole world in the times and circumstances we live in is VERY DANGEROUS and makes the USA look like a bunch of idiots and spoiled children while the world suffers from the numerous problems we face.
