Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Itīs wierd I know, but around Aug 20 or so, I felt very alarmed for about four days straight ( during the Gaza pullout). The egg stayed red during most of this (so it wasnīt just me). I bought war supplies then. Just a gut feeling, the first Iīve ever experienced, but I think everything is "going down". Mother nature, god, Gaia whatever it is has responded to the many prayors for help from oppression. That is my personal view. |

(OP) 12/08/2005 10:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you forgot power inverters with rechargeable batteries and a big ass solar panel connected to a small electric stove "one coil heats up" even a crank generator.however im not going with any of this i wont be buying anything soon i will be eating worms and insects using translucent plastic bags covering ditches and using the condensation that build up on the plastic to fill a cup under the plastic in the hole i might also pea in the dirt and filter it that way to. who needs filters when youīve lost your marbles and are roaming naked in the woods. yes i plan on running around naked and scaring people with my crossbow because ammo will run out and i will need to hunt house cats a weiner dog to survive but all in all i will be one with nature and mediate and have a out of body experience hopefully i will leave my body and all the pain will go away |

(OP) 12/08/2005 10:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dayum!....nice list polly....however its pretty much useless to the people in NO....They donīt have money to buy any of that stuff....even if they had the money, only a small percentage would try to prepare....gotta have the mindset and money.... Watching videos on TV, I see lots of things people could do to ease their situation.....but seems most are content to wait for help and a handout...again its mindset.... The results of the cradle to grave conditioning shows... |

(OP) 12/08/2005 10:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why the lack of preparedness? 1)people living paycheck to paycheck canīt afford to see further down the line cuz normal living is survival for them. 2)Those with a little extra cash will spend it on a walmart toy of the month. 3)No matter if a disaster is fresh in the mind...many people tend to have a denial problem...after all the radio spots, website, billboards, etc after 9/11...only about 20% of people did anything to prepare...and weīre just talking 3 days of food. 4)then you got the people that sez "why prepare, Iīll just take what I need when tshtf" The above represents a large precentage of the people I spoke to...Iīm well versed in survival skills and even offered free classes....not many could be bothered....to the denialist friends, I bought/assembled basic kits out of my own money for them...Its more to clear my conscience than anything...nowadays I donīt make a major attempt to get people prepared anymore....like any therapy, they have want change... |
