Anonymous Coward User ID: 1372243 United States 05/07/2011 06:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | its not pulling apart... its a landslide, we get those often in the northwest. it rains constantly and people build on the hillsides for the awesome views. every other year i hear about some community built in the hills losing some houses. been the same way for at least the 33 years i have lived here. |

User ID: 1258525 United States 05/07/2011 06:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sinkholes, subsidence and landslides do happen. It's part of life. No, the ground is not pulling apart, at least not there. It is at the edge of a cliff, and natural erosion is probably to blame- along with possibly additional aggravation from drainage as you mentioned. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1373650I agree though, sucks for the people there. Sad. It's not natural the guy in the video called it all the downspouts leading to the French drays saturated the area , that is not natural but man maid again. That's what you get for building on a steep incline. A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. †. |
