Low flying jet in Canada! What is going on?

The world must be ending.

Just wanted to let you know that we are also from Leamington and wanted to say that this is NOT normal for this area unless there is an airshow. This plane was way too low. I'm sure that it was a training exercise but he was way below the hard deck for too long.
We do not have any military base close by and the closest air show for the weekend was hours away in the states.

Last time something like this happened it was because of another plane not communicating with the tower and the states sent a plane out to ground them. They had to fly in to close to Canada and broke the sound barrier.

Overall this could be a Mothers Day thing but I think there was more too it.

I am not disputing that it may have been training, but things like this don't happen in this particular area. If you read the video comments, many people in the area were surprised by how low this thing was flying. The video was even mentioned on the local radio station. That is how unusual this was.

LOL, I'm an American. I have lived in Canada for 3.5 years now. I won't have to learn anything new, lol.

I noticed that too. He went so low in the skyline I couldn't see him above the tree tops and I told my roommate, "I wonder if he is going to try to land at that tiny airport."

I was just outside here in southeast Florida and about every 4-5 minutes I'd hear a jet, almost sounding like it was breaking the sound barrier. I didn't see anything flying (too hazy) but for 15 minutes (until I came in just now) it sounded like thunder but not continuously.

There is definitely some unusual air activity going on overhead.

Not sure this is related to OP but interesting that I just took notice of this myself.

Thanks for the information. I thought it was extremely weird which is why I ran for the video camera. Someone on the video comments said they mentioned this video on 92.7FM this morning. Weird happenings!

Do you post on GLP often? Spend time on other "alternative" forums? Then you are a dissenter of the NWO. They are tracking the entire net . . .the phone, etc. There are many that sit at computers all day long monitoring places like GLP.

It is called scare tactics. They do it to many of us.

Personally, I take it as a compliment.

Low-flying military jets were spotted across the country Sunday afternoon, including over southern Essex County.

Between 6 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, residents in Leamington and Kingsville reported seeing a CF-18 repeatedly passing overhead.

"It literally buzzed over our subdivision like five times," said Leamington resident Bradley Reiter, who lives by Seacliff Park.

"You see planes fly by once in a while but never anything like this and never that many passes."

Across the country people were posting on Twitter that they had seen a low-flying jet pass repeatedly overhead.

Jets were spotted flying over the GTA, Edmonton and southwestern Ontario.

NORAD said they didn't know anything about the CF-18s and the Canadian National Defence and Canadian Forces were unavailable for immediate comment Sunday night.

Yes, we are on the other side of Lake Erie across from Cleveland. I have a friend that lives in a high rise and on a good, clear day you can stand out on her balcony and see the U.S.

Lol Vallejo ca here.. Think that's scary there was a c130 earlier this week that looked like it was going down and it's engines kicked into high gear and it pulled up out of it.. Loud as all hell and was close enough I could clearly see cockpit windows etc.. I used to be stationed a naatc in Pensacola so used to jets buzzing barracks flying low but seeing and hearing a c130 do that made my heart stop.. On a random sidenote had a black heli flying sideways in a circle with nose pointed into center for 30mins two days ago or so..

It didn´t look like the F-18 had any kind of emergency. It was maneuvering just fine.

It was carrying 3 external fuel tanks. It could indicate a long distance mission.

Maybe they´re moving planes across the country. Or maybe sending them on to Europe for deployment in the conflict in North Africa with NATO. Gaddhafi is still in power and actually taking the upper hand over the rebels. So, the efforts there might have to be stepped up and I think Canada is taking part.

I have been living in Leamington for two years and have never witnessed anything like this. It circled the town a few times at a very low altitude. I did hear that there is a pilot in the airforce from Leamington and this was a Mother's Day treat for his mother but I cannot verify this information. There is a possibility that this was related to the two in flight threats that happened yesterday in the US. Whatever was happening it was awesome to witness.
