In Mulder's apartment, FBI agent Diana Fowley, after making a phone call, walks back toward the bedroom where Fox Mulder is recovering from looking at rubbings of an alien artifact.

CUT TO CONFERENCE ROOM IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Man #1 ...final preparations for mass destruction on a scale we can only imagine.

Man #2: What can we do to stop it?

Man #1: There appears there's nothing we can do to prevent it. It becomes a question of managing the crisis, otherwise we face annihilation ourselves.

In a leather chair at the head of the conference table, Cigarette Smoking Man draws on cigarette, exhales.

CUT TO COMMERCIALS ON FOX

E*Trade commercial begins. A man wakes up to an alarm clock at 4:45 AM.

He walks to work with the World Trade Center eerily looming ahead of him in the distant, early morning darkness. It has an ominous, foreboding look to it.

Man rides crowded subway to work.

He appears to be working inside an office area of the World Trade Center as a stock broker.

A TV spot for the movie "Instinct" starring Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr. It's about a seemingly normal man who becomes a deranged murderer(kind of like the 9/11 hijackers).

A commercial for a 1999 Mazda Miata driving through a large city. In one scene, several large office buildings blow apart into pieces as the car drives by faster than a jet. In a cartoonish way, it either resembles the World Trade Center wreckage and debris cloud on 9/11 as it rolled down NYC streets or the insides of the Twin Towers as the planes went through them.
