Anybody else experiencing a persistant tickle in their throat leading to incessant coughing?

Usually when I get these they are in the evening and usually last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and then go away.

All day yesterday, last night, and woke up again with it this morning.

Allergies...... Next!

I'm 37 years old and haven't found a single thing i"m allergic to.

Obviously I have no way of knowing what is causing your cough. But I do know that allergies can develop later in life, even if you have never had them before.

I had surgery two years ago and took pain pills for quite awhile. When I stopped taking them, I got this crazy tickle in the back of my throat and then coughed forever.

It was hard to get rid of, but it eventually quit.

Have you been on any medication lately?

I've had it for years. I even have a rash in my throat that never goes away. It's pollution that causes allergies. But, there was a virus going around over the winter where people had these terrible coughs for months. Hopefully, you'll get over it.

I went to the doctor for it...
Supposedly it is just a sinus infection with allergy complications. The weird thing was my sinus seemed fine at first. The doctor claimed they were draining in the back of my throat causing the tickle.
Not sure where you live and any amount of radioactive particles you may have been exposed to or if you have ever had seasonal allergies before...
My doctor put me on an antibiotic...3rd round in 5 months.

This time for me is about the worst. The past month has been terrible. A constant post nasal drip that makes life quite unpleasant. I've been going through this since I was a teenager, and have had really bad times before, but this one takes the cake. Benadryl is now my best friend.

I've considered having my sinuses removed....... ;^) ha ha

That was my first thought. We are being blanketed right now.

The only reason I'm concerned is because these never last more than an hour for me...going on two days now.

I had the same thing the first year i moved to TN ten years ago.
I went to the Dr and he had no clue what it was. Then i went to the eye Dr and he said he could tell from my blood vessels in my eyes that I had allergies, which I had never had before in my life.

I took some benadryl and no more cough

Sinus draining down the back of the throat no biggy but what a pain to deal with every so often. Just that time of the season.

Yep me but it's nothing abnormal, started with a cold now just got to get rid of the cough.
