WTF TELL ME YOU PEOPLE ARE GETTING THIS" Web Search definition of "Leonid" Seriously! Who has such a name!!!!!!!!!!
I mean damn what are the odds of someone who likes to stargaze and his first name means Meteor WTF!!!!!! I mean I'm pretty sure that their are Russians out there with the name Leonid I know cuz I googled it and a few did come up....But is it a common name?....like lets say or Jim or Sam in the U.S? and again what are the odds of some one finding a heavenly body thats coming pretty damn close to earth be named Leonid?!!!!! On top of that read the definition closely....Meteor Shower (only happens in our atmosphere) Shooting star (again happens in an atmosphere)...And don't get me started on the F@cking Last Name! WTF Elenin...E.L.E.N.I.N...I now its grasping at straws on the last name but you got to f@cken admit it, its pretty damn Convincing Extinction, Level, Event (which acronyms everyone on this site should now before we even new about this thing..and Nibiru, IS, Near....or how ever you want to arrange it but still pretty creepy when you first hear it....Also I tried to pull up Elenin and only the comet pulls up I'm pretty sure everyone of you have already tested this out...But check this out when I pull up Eleni w/o the N (Meaning: The girl's name Eleni \e-le-ni\ is a variant of Eleanor (Greek), Elena (Greek), Ellen (Greek) and Helen (Greek), and the meaning of Eleni is "sun ray, shining light".) I now not to convincing but still WTF!

The Leonids (/ˈliː.ənɪdz/ LEE-ə-nids) are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Tempel-Tuttle. The Leonids get their name from the location of their radiant in the constellation Leo: the meteors appear to radiate from that point in the sky. They tend to peak in November

. 1. (Astron.) One of the shooting stars which constitute the star shower that recurs near the fourteenth of November at intervals of about thirty-three years; - so called because these shooting stars appear on the heavens to move in lines directed from the constellation Leo.

It is the English Translation of the Russian name for Leonard.
I once had a Russian Dr named Leonid and I asked him why it was spelled funny and he said it just the Russian meaning of Leonard.
Brezhnev for example......

It might be but in English Leonard means Strong like Lion...Leonid in Russian means Meteor shower...Granted that they might sound similar but mean two completely different things depending on the language you are speaking....and by the way the most common translation for Leonard in Russian is you got it Leonard not Leonid...it might be pronounced Leonid but not commonly spelled that way! It makes sense if you think about it Leonard is old French so if it carries the same meaning from French to English to Spanish why would be different for Russian? Even if spelled a different way why have a different Meaning?
