I actually know a fair bit about these people. I have a relative in the cult.

Naturally I was curious as to what attracted them, so I decided to check Mr Miller out a bit.

What I found out was this:

- Mr Miller was raised a Jehovah's Witness and split with them
- he had some sort of relevation which made him decide he was Jesus
- they totally reject reincarnation and anything psychic or paranormal - to them it is all evil entities planting false mental and emotional stuff to keep people distracted
- they are right into yelling and screaming and hitting pillows and cushions as some sort of primal-gestalt-rebirthing therapy (although they don't call it that)
- Mr Miller's beliefs are a mish-mash of HIS version of the bible (bearing in mind he thinks he WAS Jesus, so he feels quite justified in correcting and changing parts of 'what really happened')
- and a mish-mash of the works of James Padgett ( [link to new-birth.net]

- I definitely do NOT believe they are a suicidal cult whatsoever - but they do believe that massive earth changes are just around the corner.

- There is zero financial compulsion, and zero compulsory rituals (so far)

- There is NO demands to cut-off from family, although many end up doing so voluntarily (I mean how many people are going to accept their kids/parents/brothers etc following some guy who says he's Jesus?)

- there are NO miracles that I've heard him claiming, so it is a belief in his teachings that they follow, not so much him.

The trash and tabloid Aussie media spent a lot of time looking for anything they could get their teeth into to get sensationalism out of the story, but what you see on that clip is the best they could do, so they dropped it. Even repeated calls for anyone with 'dirt' on Mr Miller to come forward produced nothing.

In conclusion:

I see them as harmless and deluded - but they are honest, hardworking and clean living folk who mind their own business and help neighbours out when needed.
