Why was the guy on the tracks in the first place?

Has this happened before in that location? How was he able to catch this there at the right time?

Agree with the other poster that it does look like a maintenance related occurance, as if you look carefully there is stable ground that can be seen through the hole.

The platform that you see at the start does not look like a commercial platform and the line was most prolly closed which is the only explanation I can give for someone to be filming on public tracks and witnessing a sink hole or vitrification process by sheer coincidence at the same moment.

that is a double track which connects Ontario's Near North to the Southern Ontario marketplace, so I'm sure it needs to be watched on a regular basis, also the Canadian Shield is right there underneath very little soil to begin with as you can see by the track bed quite built up, we have had a ton of water this spring and loads of snow over the winter, very abnormal amounts at least for thirty or so years

The exact date is really unknown by everyone. Those very few who know the date will not say anything. Most of the planet will be consumed by fire and water.
