Anonymous Coward User ID: 1381617 United States 05/18/2011 07:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Everything is fucked, it rains everday here in Va., the storms are coming from the east, and it's in the lower 40's. Either the jet stream has shifted big time, or the weather weapons are in play. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 254160the jet stream is not behavng like it used to...i see it too. that feed loop shows the country sliced in half. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 936989 United States 05/18/2011 08:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is no big deal, and people thinking it's a major problem haven't watched the jet stream since late decemeber/early january. It's been in a very consistent hill/trough setup where storms roll across the jet stream and bring different temps over and over. It's the reason Texas has been in a drought and the midwest flooding. If you think this is a major issue or pin worthy, GTFO. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1388503 United Kingdom 05/18/2011 09:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | just to clarify, you all sound like a bunch of idiots throwing around numbers followed by the word "degrees" and expecting everyone to know what your talking about, especially the international community. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1388503it really is time you caught up with the rest of the world and went metric. Take it up with the weathermen and/or weather stations. We don't control which systems are used for reporting temperatures as well as for temperature forecasts. No US citizens on this thread are going to change their thought process for one or two complaining UK persons. No offense, but it really is just a method of measurement. It really shouldn't be causing you any butthurt. Celsius and Farenheit are so directy related that* Kelvin is actually the best form of measuring heat, which is the only SI unit, but you don't see me going around complaining the UK people need to get with the program and measure in Kelvin. fine, as long as you at lest state which system your talking about.. i told my family it was a roasting hot 52 degrees which they of course assumed Centigrade. it turns out the op was taling about farenheight. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1323236 United States 05/18/2011 09:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Front range rockies Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1355436usually storms come off the mountains headed east now they drop moisture while going west UP the mountain, its very weird... and the deers futher down southeast seem to eat birds now too. Thats pretty weird also. Thread: ANIMALS ACTING ODD - DEER EATS BIRD What do you mean when you say the deers eat birds? Which kind of bird and have you seen this happen? Do you have a picture or video of a deer eating a bird. If that is true then we are physically changing. I enjoy watching deer in SC. I havent seen their diet change yet. If a deers diet changes then I expect everything else will also change. Sounds like the deer is reprogramming itself for suvival. If plants are killed by cold weather than the next best thing to do is eat some meat. Peace be to you. |

Quoting: InkedscorpGreat question. Could the pole being slightly off have a direct correlation? Obviously you are not. Low pressure always rotates in a counter clockwise movement. Low pressure and high pressure , (which rotates clockwise) are just weather systems, the jetstream moves these systems from west to east. Right now the low pressure in the east has been cut off from the the steering influance of the jet stream. It's called a cut off low, and it is a well documented weather event. When a low gets cut off it just sets in place bringing crappy dreary weather sometimes for days..as we are seeing this week. |
