just to clarify, you all sound like a bunch of idiots throwing around numbers followed by the word "degrees" and expecting everyone to know what your talking about, especially the international community.

it really is time you caught up with the rest of the world and went metric.

Take it up with the weathermen and/or weather stations. We don't control which systems are used for reporting temperatures as well as for temperature forecasts. No US citizens on this thread are going to change their thought process for one or two complaining UK persons.

No offense, but it really is just a method of measurement. It really shouldn't be causing you any butthurt. Celsius and Farenheit are so directy related that* Kelvin is actually the best form of measuring heat, which is the only SI unit, but you don't see me going around complaining the UK people need to get with the program and measure in Kelvin.

fine, as long as you at lest state which system your talking about.. i told my family it was a roasting hot 52 degrees which they of course assumed Centigrade.

it turns out the op was taling about farenheight.

Well the OP is leading his audience on.

He's talking about lows from day x to highs on day z. Basically, you know how it normally cools off at night? He took the weather forecasted nighttime temp and then compared it to a subsequent daytime forecast for a day or two later.

People do know it cools off at night, right? I mean, if it never cooled off at night in tampa, I would've never left the house when I lived there. Seriously. The night time is the relief. Normally it's a 10-30 degree (Farenheit) temperature difference. And if anyone walks around International Plaza, there are posters about the 1920's snow storm. Night time cool off temps are nothing in comparison.

I say to the tampa op to grow some balls/ovaries or don't go out after the sun sets.
