Rare color photographs of the Great Depression Era
It was an era that defined a generation. The Great Depression marked the bitter and abrupt end to the post-World War 1 bubble that left America giddy with promise in the 1920s. Near the end of the 1930s the country was beginning to recover from the crash, but many in small towns and rural areas were still poverty-stricken. These rare photographs are some of the few documenting those iconic years in colour.

I must admit the last picture, though all children are beautiful, had me thinking that perhaps people didn't travel too far to find a spouse, and perhaps looked closer to their own backyard. Kissing cousins or worse perhaps.

So much more immersive than Black and White pictures!

Tragedy we didn't have color photography from the get-go, would've loved to seen 19th century stuff in color.

I've seen these "rare" and "recently released" depression photos about 30 different times now, going back several years. wtf

Who's releasing this same thing over and over, and what's it leading up to? wtf
