I dont know, years ago a woman with kids or without didnt have a way out of a bad marriage , there was no work for her except being a teacher. My Mom use to tell me about my great grandmother, how her husband would come home drunk and fathered a child with another woman, she had to stay and put up with it, in order to have food for her kids, I bet she was depressed all her life.
A failed love, losing a job, losing someone to death, lots of reasons to be depressed in this day and age, it isnt all in the head and can be change in a wink of an eye. Depression can kill, when it gets really bad and affects you normal life, thank God for drugs.
