The Bible is a history book/instruction book. It was translated by men, but you can find ways to verify the translation and make adjustments according to context as necessary(ie, The Gap Theory) however as a whole we have it mostly correct.

Now I do think we are missing parts of it the Catholic church has help up in their library, but I also belive we are only going to be held accountable for what we have access too.
