A few lawyer hours should fix this. Actually they might even consider sueing USDA for harrassment.

i typically get my fishing license without thinking twice about it.

just because a lot of americans still suffer from the delusion that they can live and do however the fuck they feel like regardless of the larger picture, doesnt make them invincible to the law.

the ammount of the fine is crazy.. thats all i agree with on this...
but still.. when you are told repeatedly that you need a license to operate your business and you just ignore it thinking youre above the law.. its no big shock that youre going to piss one of the bureaucrats off and give them an excuse to fuck with you.

Your fishing license really isn't a license at all, but a tax. I know they say it's a license but really, it's a tax. It exists because there are millions of fishermen and only so many fish. How many rabbit breeders do you suppose there are as compared with fishermen? What would be the reason that one would need a license to operate a cottage industry which serves such a small market and involves so little in revenue? If you tell me it's to ensure the safety of the consumers of rabbit meat, then please prove that this is a real issue by citing examples of mass food poisoning via tainted rabbit meat or somesuch thing as that. Do you have any other hobbies?
