Dr. Caldicott Calls For Massive Evacuation In Japan

Outraged parents have held a rowdy demonstration outside Japan's education ministry in Tokyo to protest against the government's decision to weaken nuclear safety standards in schools.

Under new guidelines, Japanese children are allowed to be exposed to 20 times more radiation than was previously permissible.

The new regulation means children can now be exposed to as much radiation as a German nuclear worker.

The government argues the change is essential to keeping schools open in the Fukushima region.

According to Nobel Prize-winning group Physicians for Social Responsibility, the new limits mean exposed children now have a one-in-200 risk of getting cancer, compared with a one-in-500 risk for adults.

Both of you chill. It's bad enough without people swearing at each other. Compassion all around but action to follow. Where are the Japanese going to go? How do you minimize damage over generations exposed to this mess? WTF is the Japanese economy going to do come July 1?

Thanks. Ok. I was done anyway. After all I have only been a friend of Dr. Caldicott, through books and tapes for 15 years. I know the "situation" better and my anger better than to get into a dick measuring contest with this NOOB.

BTW. I do email Dr. Caldicott and she is friendly, encouraging and means it when she says there is nothing to gawk at. I mean the danger is nothing to stand and stare at and serious when she says to evacuate.

The country of Japan may wind up being a Nuclear "no go" land in the next year or two. We need to face that fact. It may well be reality. The boron cannot contain the radiation forever and it's now in meltdown. Once it goes into the earth and hits the water table, it will be the biggest dirty bomb explosion ever known.

The weather alone is going to put no-telling-how-much particulate matter into the air, and send it who knows where.

Gram/1,000,000 is enough to cause lung cancer if inhaled.

That being said...how do we aid in uplifting an entire culture/people from their ancestral homelands and simply move them somewhere? Heck, they could have Vancouver Island (it's only half the size or so but has better resources than Japan does) with all of VI's what...1.3 million people? Similar climate (reversed...cold wet winters and drought like summers vs. japans cool wet summers and dry cool winters?), why not?
There is more water on Vancouver Island then in most of Japan.

You have some work to do. You allowed your government to bend over to UK, the men who placed those reactors where they are in order to destroy America. Building Fukushima was part of their 100 year invasion plan. The Japanese people are just a bi product of their plan and slaves in the eyes of the British elite. They have no soul.

Canada is a country of diverse peoples and battles. Some years ago someone from Ottawa said he knew, as most Canadians did, about civil war than Americans. We were discussing 9/11.

This is a war of big bucks. Japan's population is cannon fodder. I really don't go in for analogous thinking, but I am getting tired and reminiscent of my youth.

Canada doesn't really exist in some ways, like Australia.
It is too vast with few cohesive ideas. I don't ever leave 'my side' of the Rockies (I'm coastal) and my politics/thoughts/ideas/speculations/etc/ don't hold on the 'other' side of the Rockies. And the urban-rural divide isn't a crack, it's a chasm. C'est la vie!

I got upset at Canadians when I first met them. BB's and emails and the like, hahahaha. When I left that place in my life I had learned something.

It is a unique place, not that most are not, but there is no such critter as a 'Canadian' no matter how many crappy beer commercials they put out proclaiming such a beastie. I have little or nothing in common with most...Manitobans? Little or no kinship to Ontario or Quebec, but I do profess..just this once...a deep and abiding love for Newfies.
