Now that we have new physical poles and a new equator, we should expect large amounts of lithosphere disruptions (cracks in the Earth) and sinkholes. The bulge around the equator caused by centrifugal force as the Earth rotates - that bulge is moving to the new equator as the Earth adjusts to its new configuration. This will cause...problems.
