and she leaves to become a wife of another,
her first husband can not remarry her.

God was married to Israel.


God divorced Israel



" If a man divorces his wife
and she leaves him and marries another man,
should he return to her again?

Would not the land be completely defiled?
But you have lived as a prostitute with many lovers—
would you now return to me?”
declares the Lord. "

" I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce
and sent her away because of all her adulteries. "

" Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you... "




God could not lawfully remarry Israel.


But when God incarnated and died, the old marriage covenant was broken,
and Israel [the same Israel, not another] became the Bride of Christ.




Jesus Christ, the passover lamb of God, died for Israel.

As Jesus said: " I came only to the lost sheep of Israel."

Let's define "Israel" from the Scriptures:

Gen. 32:28 Your name shall not be called Jacob, but Israel; for if you have been strong against God, how much more shall you prevail against men?

Gen. 35:9.10 And again,
Gen. 32:24-27 Jacob wrestles all night with an angel.
God appeared to Jacob after he returned from Mesopotamia of Syria, and He blessed him, saying, "You shall not anymore be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name. And He called him Israel.

Gen. 45:9 Joseph moves Israel to the land of Gessen in Egypt.
Gen. 45:21 And the sons of Israel did as they were bid (by Joseph). And Joseph gave them wagons according to Pharao's commandment, and provisions for the way.

Gen. 46:8 And these are the names of the children of Israel that entered into Egypt and his children. (List begins with Ruben, his firstborn, (the firstborn of Israel).

dies for Israel and remarries Israel.
Israel becomes known as Christians.

JUDA MARRIES SUE

Romans 9:4-8 Paul says about his kinsmen according to the flesh:

(4)Who are Israelites: to whom belongs the ADOPTION as of children and the glory and the testament and the giving of the law and the service of God and the promises.

(5)Whose are the fathers and of whom is Christ, according to the flesh, who is over all things, God blessed forever. Amen.

(6)Not as though the word of God has miscarried, for all are not Israelites that are of Israel (the children of Jacob).

(7)Neither are all they that are the seed of Abraham, children: but in ISAAC shall thy seed be called.

(8)That is to say, but they that are children of the FLESH are the children of God, but they that are children of the PROMISE are accounted for the seed.

That promise was Christ.
