Anonymous Coward User ID: 1403531 United States 06/03/2011 06:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well I moved off Kauai... I think those who band together, grow food and exchange chores will do alright there as long as they are not on the coast. Kama'ainas there are survivalists (remember Iniki!) Yet it takes planning and I pray you all are doing so. Now that I am not there, I can see survival there will be tough. You will be cut off of all things imported (like toilet paper,,, guess ti leaves..) medicines, unless you studied herbs there and have been cultivating them... for the forests have been raped of the ancients ones... can you cook on a fire in the rain? butcher a wild boar you had to catch??? then probably fine. salt food for no electricity? fresh water catchment? medical marijuana?? LOL protection from robbers and other hungry people, or share food for all?? it might be like a very primative state or not.... depends upon what you think is coming. I love the islands... but I do think I made the right choice to have moved to where I am... Bless you all, you can do it, love one another! Aloha! |
