Syrians Cross Flaming Fields to Turkey

Syrians fleeing President Bashar Al- Assad’s assault against northern towns say troops are torching fields and opening fire at random, the chief of a Turkish border village hosting refugees said.

Assad has justified his violence against the north by saying 120 members of his security forces were killed by “armed gangs” in the town of Jisr al Shughour on June 7. Local residents say the forces defected after refusing to fire on pro- democracy protesters and were killed for their subversion by Assad’s police.

How can the leader of a country treat the people, who pay for his way of life, this way? WTF? Why the hell are all of these leaders of countries sending military and other means to basically massacre their citizens? Don't think the police brutality in Spain would have ended there had the people not dispersed. I don't know what will happen the next time an EU country holds a demonstration.
