Please post a followup if you sell it. You can make a fortune just on options. You might want to get an agent. I know a guy in Kansas City who sold an option on his script to Malpaso(Clint Eastwood's Production Company). $2million, and they never even produced the movie! (I'd be a little bumbed out if it wasn't produced, but the $2mil guy was HAPPY!) Good luck! [link to www.copyright.gov] You'll find the forms online. Library of Congress, $65.00. Just follow the instructions, it's not hard. Make copies of everything that you sent to the LOC. Also, go to a Notary Public. Have the NP view, and document it's your screenplay with your name on it. And stamp it. That way once it's out of your hands, no one can steal the ideas, and say it's their stuff. I have connections in the music industry which leads to other connections. (I haven't written anything in a long time(working on a treatment right now though), have never pitched a screenplay(produced/directed a few of my shorts, that's all, worked on a couple productions, and a lot of indy stuff.) You probably don't need an agent, unless these guys pass, and you'd still need the atty. (Nice you found interested parties without an agent(presumably). I'd love to hear if you get a deal.
