Did you change all the info on it before xcaning it ?

No, then your info will be there for at least 7 years.

It will probably only show up in a google cache for the next 2 years, but the info will be there.

Advice to others: Change the info on your page to jibber-jabber, including an email address, even if you only create a temporary address that FB will use to verify.

delete that email address after all changes have been made and deactivation request has gone past about 1 month.

By deactivating and not changing any info, you are still in someones book.

7 years is the normal backup time for companies and gov'r entities. So they will probably still have your old info for a while. But if you change it to crap, the gogle spider will at least refresh t show the last page updates you did with the jibberish.

FB, Twitter, Myspace....these are all traps to tap in the the general psyche so 'they' can stay on top of what the people are thinking and planning so 'they' can stay one up on us.

I am happy because I said fuck this thing the first 15minutes it ever came online to a few select schools. I abused it strictly to get the girl who wanted me to join in my college apt. never been on since.

The basic account information always remains in their database, even if it's no longer visible to others...

Change your photos also.

link them to a photobucket pic or something else that steers it away from you. My friend uploaded a white picture (white.jpg) and linked all his photos to that. Don't link to a copyright image or to someone else's copyright or FB might flag it and you won't be able to make necessary changes as above.

In other words, CHANGE EVERYTHING to steer away from your identity before canceling your account.

Now, sit on that account for a month or so and then put in the request to deactivate.

This will give the net spiders ample opportunity to cache the jibberish and FB to also backup the jibberish page

Been "facebookless" for about four months now? I deleted my whole wall and all posts I ever made first, then all my friends, then changed all my basic info to false information. Now I am waiting another month or two in hopes that the serves cache empties before I "de activate" it.

I think deactivation of the account might throw up a flag to store all info if I didn't do that....but ehh, I'm paranoid

Worked for DoD 13 years ago and we backed up data for 7 years.

Even as an op, I used to whitewash all my personal data on the server that wasn't job related.

The first time you are audited, it comes in handy...
