Picking up the pieces. Foxfire books (the entire series) There are more but these come readily to mind. I can personally recommend these two. You have to keep in mind though your AO. Some of the things in the SAS book for instance may not apply in your particular area. Also, some survival techniques that are recommended are complete wastes of time like the "desert still" for gathering water. You actually burn more calories and sweat more fluids than you could ever hope to regain digging that hole. "What you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul." |

The next phase is longer term and will depend on seasonal changes and how a society is operating in general after the worst has come. Banding together with like - minded people in your area is your best shot at this point because time is not on your side at this point. Where spirit, logic, intuition, and truth intermingle. A note about that list: it was a basic list I found that covers many of the basics. I recommend a "list of lists" to help you prioritize and organize specific to your needs. Everyone has different requirements and expectations of what skills and supplies that they may need when the SHTF. I suspect that there will be a few things that nobody has thought of that may become valuable in the future. I found that the information available on the web seemed a little overwhelming at first. By making my "lists" I was able to break down what I deemed important for my survival needs and use that as my starting point. You won't be able to find everything in one book. Good luck! The more people who prep for disaster, the less ammo I have to expend "What you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard.
