Quoting: newgrannyIf it's just plutonium, they aren't going to get any readings since plutonium emits alpha particles. Something needs to emit gamma rays in order to pick-up on a Geiger counter. Good luck, even berkley nor the EPA had the means to test for plutonium. I can assure you whoever tests for it won't be releasing the information to the public. |

But when pressed about the relative Safety of the Plutonium etc he kept on obfuscating. (Page 3) note: please don't quote this entire post..it might get longer before the fire is out. thanks Sounds like what you and I were discussing earlier today is now confirmed; plutonium ignited and went airborne. I checked the radar again and looks like everything heading almost straight North. Looks like if the plutonium stays in the air, will be riding the air currents and eventually shift into the Mid-West region. Hopefully people will start posting and giving some insight as to how far this plutonium has traveled. This will be my last post on here tonight as I am sure my home computer will once again time out after I try to post this. Will catch up on this tomorrow from my other location :) Thank you much again for the information. "If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy"- James Madison "Joining the military does not mean that you will be defending the country. The purpose of the U.S. military should be to defend the United States. Period. Yet, one of the greatest myths ever invented is that the current U.S. military somehow defends our freedoms. First of all, our freedoms are not in danger of being taken away by foreign countries; if they are taken away it will be by our own government. It is not a country making war on us that we need to fear, it is our government making war on the Bill of Rights. And second, how is stationing troops in 150 different regions of the world on hundreds of U.S. military bases defending our freedoms? It is not the purpose of the U.S. military to change regimes, secure the borders of other countries, or spread democracy at gunpoint. The Department of Defense should first and foremost be the Department of Homeland Security."--Laurence Vance-- |

(Do you mind a STFU (for you own sake)?) Maybe he is laughing at the hopelessness of it all. Or perhaps at the irony. The original place where nuclear bombs were made is threatened by a fire that may burn some of the very same waste from that original bomb. People may be exposed to radiation from this. The nuclear weapons that were made to "save and protect us" will end up killing us. Maybe he is laughing at us here in the U.S. because we have allowed this to happen. Not intentionally, but are we not the ones who are free, democratic, responsible, in charge of everything? BTW, Germany is phasing out all of their nuclear plants. Maybe they will get the last laugh. |

Has the rate of cancer increased exponentially with your cloudedgrossly influenced 'thoughts' me thought not. Your thoughts are well within all the limits of reasonableness. There is one caveat, however... TPTB have far exceeded ALL the limits of reasonableness 60 or 70 years ago (or more). In short, I would like to say that TPTB had all the warnings that anyone could imagine that a wildfire (which is VERY prevalent in that third of the U.S.) could easily devastate the ENTIRE U.S. unless extreme precautions were carried out. Our problem today is that, not only were extreme precautions not carried out, almost nothing whatsoever was done to protect this nuclear waste dump known as Los Alamos National Laboratory to protect itself from the most prevalent natural hazard that effect an entire one third of the United States... There are wildfires (most commonly known as "Forest Fires") on that side of the country every year. And there is NO ONE in American Intelligencia that does NOT know that! In short... This situation isn't an "accident." It is an "inevitability!" That is, it is an "accident waiting to happen." And "sure as shit" (nothing more surer than that I suppose) it happened! But EPA is "monitoring" the situation, so there is nothing to worry about! |
