I am mostly concerned about how do we determine this distance and what makes it reliable.
Not just some random answers.
I am not entirely concerned about going to any Stars either.
Quoting: SaveTheLivingEntitiesform a triangle from the star to two opposite points on the earth's path around the sun we know the distance from one side of orbit to the other and the angles in the triangle, enough to get the length of the two other sides simple geometry bro Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1442186We think we know the distance...... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1417231Indeed. Some stars we see resolve as Galaxies in our telescopes. What if Galaxies really aren't as far away as we thought? What if we are seeing other Solar systems? Just other planets??
