ELENIN: Richard C. Hoagland on C2C

Richard C. Hoagland says Elenin is a non-event and the reason no one is talking about it is because it just isn't interesting enough.

BUT, he DOES point out that it is a hyperbolic event, meaning its the first time catching something that has never been here before and will not return again. And, he did also find it remarkable that perigee was indeed September 11th. He also says with the return of Atalanitis and the end of the shuttle mission, there will be a new way of doing space exploration, like building space travel vehicles in orbit. Interesting discussion.
