Emily : Hurricane ?
The season’s fifth tropical depression is close to developing in the open Atlantic today.

This system will likely be upgraded to a depression or Tropical Storm Emily after an aircraft reconnaissance mission this afternoon.

Later this week it is very likely to become the Atlantic season’s first hurricane as it moves westward across the open Atlantic toward the Lesser Antilles. This system is not a threat to Texas nor likely the Gulf of Mexico, but it could eventually threaten Florida or the eastern U.S. coast.

Re: Emily : Hurricane ?
Tropical Storm Emily should be named today. Path towards Puerto Rico

A large area of Low Pressure has been identified by satellite about 675 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. This is getting better organized and is expected to become a tropical depression and soon after named Tropical Storm Emily (next name on the list for 2011).

An Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft will investigate this region this afternoon, which will give a better indication of the structure of the storm. At this stage, the winds are estimated using a Dvorak technique which is based on satellite observations.

Tropical Storm Watches will be issued along the path of the storm into the Antilles Islands, and probably extend into the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. See the latest satellite images and forecast tracks in the slide show on the left.

and Tornado Titans - Extreme Weather and Storm Chasing

reports:

We're waiting on Tropical Storm Emily to be born out in the Atlantic -- meanwhile we have exceedingly bad news: the hottest week of the summer thus far appears to be coming up this week for the Southern Plains. Some peeps in OK and TX will see heat indexes approaching 120+ Stay hydrated and don't overdo it!!

Re: Emily : Hurricane ?
The magnetosphere is to messed up for hurricanes to form properly. The magnetic flow in the earth is out of place . This will not let a storm rotate properly, thus no huge storms, and much drought.

We are all going to die.
