Path towards Puerto Rico A large area of Low Pressure has been identified by satellite about 675 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. This is getting better organized and is expected to become a tropical depression and soon after named Tropical Storm Emily (next name on the list for 2011). An Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft will investigate this region this afternoon, which will give a better indication of the structure of the storm. At this stage, the winds are estimated using a Dvorak technique which is based on satellite observations. Tropical Storm Watches will be issued along the path of the storm into the Antilles Islands, and probably extend into the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
