NASA discovers Earth's other sidekick: A "tugboat" asteroid.

"There's word out of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory that astronomers have just discovered Earth's first Trojan asteroid — a rock that shares our own solar orbit, leading us around the sun like a tugboat pulling an ocean liner. That's big news not just because such an object had never been spotted before, but also because a Trojan could make such an easy and nifty place for astronauts to visit."

wow...this is the type of shit that makes me wonder about nasa...this rock has been tugging along with us for god knows how long and we've seen galaxy's lightyears away and we just found this rock...its either straight ass bullshit and they always knew or this proves we shouldn even pay attention to nasa because something right next door to us after 40 years of space exploration was just "recently" discovered..,,,who knows whats coming...this article makes me go hmmm...this is either a distraction or something that needs to be look at further

If you like space photography, you may be familiar with planetary nebulae, which are large clouds of gas that are roughly spherical in shape. The one that's making headlines now is the newly identified Kronberger 61. Not only is it nice to look at, with its almost-soccer-ball quality, but it's also in the region of study of the Kepler probe, which may find insights into how such planetary nebulae form in the first place, Time reports.

Lagrange or Trojan points go far back as the signing of the US constitution. NASA has a multitude of programs; the obvious isn't necessarily the easiest in scientific research programs? But what to do? Minor bodies orbiting the Sun within proximity of our Earth could be a good place to search. How it got there and when it got there would be good to know?

There was no reason Earth couldn't have one too, but they're not easy to detect because of both their small size and the telescope-swamping effects of the sun. (Through a complicated — and unfortunate — interplay of Trojans' Earth-leading position and the rotation of the planet itself, the asteroids tend to appear in the skies mostly during daylight hours.)"
