I would rather an event take us out than let TPTB keep killing us slowly...a good solar flare to just tickle us back to the 1800`s way of life would be my choice if it were up to me...course the first 2 or 3 years would be tough and only the strong/smart would survive...but after a while a new world would emerge..may take a lifetime or two to get it flowing good..personally i`m not planning on living forever

Ever since i was able to think for myself i have felt like this world was shallow, vapid, hollow, useless. America has perverted in to something so completely meaningless as to be vomit inducing. I have struggled through my 20s due to illness and a chronic inability to be a productive member of society. Why? Because todays version of productive makes me want to vomit. It wasnt until the last 5 months that i really began to understand the underlying reasons of why our current world so disgusts me. Since then i have been pushing myself towards a path of total independance.

Do i want doom because i want doom? Hell no. I want doom because i want humanitys soul back. Our system is so far gone not even ron paul can save it. The american people have to take it back for themselves and that will not happen until they are thrown out in the street on their fat clueless asses and forced to THINK for themselves. That will only happen with doom and so i say, bring it on baby, im ready. No matter how horrible it is, bring it on.

One last thing. When it happens, remember to love thy neighbor. Without love, the shallow consumerism will start all over again.

I was careful when I wrote this to try to leave out the words "every one". Because I know that not every one here wants DOOM. So I do hear ya on that.

But yes, and I put myself in this group, birds of the "DOOMISH FEATHER" flock together.

true, no pain no gain, even birthing a new life is a painful experience.

All of us know deep down that humanity isn't going to advance until we go through a global trauma to detach material progress from base motivation and link real human development to technological advances, so this is all, the enterprise of global civilization, highly masturbatory until then.

Doom today just means death for individuals and the unstable entities they prop up, doom tomorrow would mean that we've kicked the can so far down the road we can't find it again.

I've been telling people on and off for over a decade that the end result of the insanity we call the 'modern world' was coming to a very distinct end. Take a local Permaculture Design course and become part of the crew that rebuilds with dignity. I did a stint at teaching it for a few years and have 39 fairly active students...Add to that by starting a Permaculture nursery for your gardening zone and you might even pull off getting wealthy!

If your sensibility allows for such things...find a way to order cannabis seeds that will SET SEED in your area and you definitely a few paces above the average person. You can feed 30 people for a year off of 1 acre of a good seed bearing cannabis varietal.

Shouldnt come to this but there is NO fixing these problems. People are fed up with the slow demise and want things to happen sooner and i dont blame them. Plus when it gets so bad and there are no police left like mad max road warrior, then we dont have to worry about going to prison for shooting to kill when attacked by hordes of black thug flash mobs

This will be a paradise for many so fed up with things and being enabled to enact revenge and or justice without the threat of incarceration. I know many loose cannons are out there just waiting for the DOOM so they can get back at people without the fear of prison.

I understand ALL the implications and eagerly await the collapse.
