Dr. Cannell recommends 5000 units on a daily basis with more for shorter periods of time. I have been on 5000 for 20 months and was tested at the low end of normal after 18 months. Several of my family members are taking 5000 units a day and have done so for several months. Also you don't want to take vitamin A at the same time you take the D as it will block the vitamin D. I encourage you to sign up at the website to get the email updates about medical research and people who have benefited from vitamin D. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1487670 United States 08/07/2011 09:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have been So Very Ill. Quoting: LJ 11894064 weeks ago I started feeling ill. After a week, I went to the doctor, who prescribed an antibiotic. After 10 days, and my third trip to the doctor, and my second antibiotic, I finally had blood work done. 4 days after that I was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I was finally prescribed doxycycline. Today is my last dose, and I still feel Very Bad. have never been ill like this before. YOU and YOUR FAMILY – be CAREFUL when you are outside. Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF) Rocky Mountain spotted fever (RMSF) is a tickborne disease caused by the bacterium Rickettsia rickettsii. This organism is a cause of potentially fatal human illness in North and South America, and is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected tick species. In the United States, these include the American dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis), Rocky Mountain wood tick (Dermacentor andersoni), and brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus). Typical symptoms include: fever, headache, abdominal pain, vomiting, and muscle pain. A rash may also develop, but is often absent in the first few days, and in some patients, never develops. Rocky Mountain spotted fever can be a severe or even fatal illness if not treated in the first few days of symptoms. Doxycycline is the first line treatment for adults and children of all ages, and is most effective if started before the fifth day of symptoms. The initial diagnosis is made based on clinical signs and symptoms, and medical history, and can later be confirmed by using specialized laboratory tests. RMSF and other tickborne diseases can be prevented. [link to www.cdc.gov] Yes seek out an Integrated M.D. that practices alternative medicine. You will need to be put on a Rickettsia nosode plus Immune system stimulator drops. Usually one does this treatment for about 3 months (or longer) depending on how bad it is and how many co-infections you might have picked up. One usually feels better within 2 weeks on this type of tx. I know of a very good Dr. in Rockville (integrated) that cured me of Lyme disease using Lyme nosodes and a variety of other homeopathics (I cannot do antibiotics). When I contracted lyme in 2008 I also at the same time contracted erhlichia, bartenella, and babesiosis. Plus I had a cytomegaloris virus on top of it all - I was one sick puppy. THANK GOD for Dr. Soliman I am doing very well. |
