the leading indicator of all this believe it or not is oil prices. wall street knows it was oil prices that did this to us the last time by pulling to much money quickly out of the system. This time however there already 25 million people already out of work. you could have qe3 qe4 qe5 and it will not fix the problem, america got rich only because oil was cheap. i mean 20 bucks a barrel that is the only way to keep the us economy going as it was. and we all know it will never happen again..

And, if you believe that peak oil has occurred already then it simply cannot go low enough in price to stimulate the economy.

The market may very well rally at the open. Whether they announce QE3 or not, the fed and world banks will hint at it to influence markets. If it does not come as an announcement out of the Fed's morning meetings, then the market will probably plunge
