As an amateur astronomer, its quite hilarious listening to the audio in this link, because it is clear that the "expert insider" doesnt have a clue what he is talking about.

When he gives the co-ordinates, he gives them in hours, minutes, seconds, degrees, FEET and INCHES!!! (' and "). If he knew what he was talking about, he would know that it is not feet and inches, it is arc-minutes and arc-seconds, which are 1/60th of a degree (arc-minutes) and 1/60th of 1 arc-minute (arc-seconds)

Also, he says that the object is travelling at 26,000mph (41,600kmph) and say that this is "real fast". Again, if he knew what he was talking about, he would know that this is not real fast, in fact the earths orbital speed around the sun is 107,200 km/h (who would have thought!) .

And he says that the object is 170,000 km in diameter. He is talking about the gas coma of the comet, which is nothing unusual. He thinks he is talking about the diameter of a solid object. ROFL.

That could actually add credibility. I didn't hear anywhere in that interview clip that this guy was an insider directly. That was likely due to the youtube poster embellishing.

This could be just a dude in the right place at the right time and had the forethought to write down what he remembered hearing about a very serious issue.
