I find that keeping oneself bathed in humility all the time is very difficult. It is specially difficult when you are dealing with those who have chosen a path or lesser purity. You'll recognize in them patterns that you don't like in yourself, and that will make you angry. You must be true, honest and humble with yourself and others. I find this to be the "golden key" (eg. like the "golden rule") to everlasting happiness, success and enlightenment on a spiritual basis. Whenever you act or talk in arrogance, scorn, judgment and self-importance (egoism), you are attracting negative energy to yourself. [ link to www.twopaths.com] Post your experiences! You know I think this is the mistake most Christians make. We are to humble ourselves before God, but we are to stand for God before men. Some people do wrong and it is up to us to say something about it. Jesus wasn't a wimp. He didn't shrink from confrontation. Confronting someone's bad behavior is not about arrogance. We are all here to help each other and remind each other if one of us gets off track. It's not judgmental to remind someone of their responsibility to practice the golden rule. It can be done kindly, privately but firmly. It is still up to them to decide if they are going to change, but we are within our perfect right to judge that we do not want to be around that person anymore. Meek and weak are two different words. Was Samual weak? Was Elijah weak? Was Paul weak? NO, they stood up for God and told people what they were doing wrong and reminded them what God wanted.
