Channelings! They speak about this topic in great detail, like what happens in between lives, difference between space/time(our illusion) and time/space(the "real" life so to speak), incarnating in different dimensions and densities, to incarnate in a different density is literally to incarnate in a completely different type of illusion, with different bodies, different everything.

You should check out The Law Of One, Bashar, Pleadian Collective. There's a book and documentary called "Tuning In" which is an interview with 6 channelers doing channelings right on video.

I love the topic of reincarnation and although I consider the Baghavad-Gita to be a great source, and mainstream docus to be interesting, IMO, there's nothing yet as comprehensive and detailed as channelings, at least to help complement your puzzle with more info that resonates.
