Kind of like Zeus and the Gods of Olympus?
Quoting: HilosPP Sort of. Zeus is more similar to the demi-god titled Indra. Indra is the King of Heaven and the God of Thunder. His weapon is the lightning bolt. Many people believe that the Greek God Zeus and the Vedic Demi-God Indra are the same, but described in different languages and traditions that have changed over many generations. Hmm, so what are the odds some of the Demi-Gods are lesser incarnations of the Supreme Being waiting until it can Incarnate in its fullness? It's odd the King of Heaven isn't considered the Supreme Being isn't it? Well the demi-gods are just like you and me, they are tiny spiritual sparks. They are not supreme all pervasive spiritual energy. You can even be elevated to become a demi-god if you so choose. In the Vedas, the conception of Heaven is not the same as the conception of Heaven in Christianity and other abrahamic religions. Heaven is a higher realm where the duration of life is very great, and you may meet many of your past relatives there if they have been elevated to heaven also. But Heaven is not the final destination. Heaven is still within the material world, albeit much more elevated and luxurious and tempting. At the end of this universe, the heavenly planets will be annihilated with the rest of the universe. The Supreme Deity is the proprietor of everything, not just heaven. His abode is the Spiritual World which is outside of the material universes. The Spiritual World is Eternal, Full of Knowledge, and Full of Bliss. Once you obtain the Spiritual World, you never return to the material world which we currently inhabit. Hmm, I disagree with the final part of your statement; I believe Heaven will come to pass as an Eternal Kingdom upon this Planet. I do agree that the Universe has been restarted but I don't believe it will be Brahma's intention to refold existence upon Manifesting in His current Incarnation.
