What about "The Christ" teachings that we will all be as Sons and Daughters of God as He was a Son of God?

Is the idea of Transmigration of the Soul not more merciful than the idea of "You have 1 shot, and if you fail or were not born in the right country, you're eternally damned to hell"?
The idea that you have unlimited tries to get it right, to get back home back to Godhead with your eternal father, is that not more merciful?
When we decided to enjoy in the material world apart from God, he did not want us to come here, but allowed it anyway because of our free will. Just like a real father might not want his Son to leave home.
But once we come here he does not relegate us to eternal suffering. At every step along the way we are given the proper guidance to return back home, to the spiritual world.
